Stuart in his office

“Stuart is simply stellar. He listens, as he did to my complaints about shoulder pain that was beginning to limit every day activities, like getting dressed. He evaluates your range of motion relative to your concerns. He helps you with home exercises to resolve the issues based on your current pain free range of motion. When appropriate he may use hands-on techniques to assist in your recovery. Stuart is personable, patient, careful, understanding and a consummate professional. Of course, it is still up to you to do your home exercises. I rate Stuart a 10 out of 10.”

“I have seen Stuart 3 times for physical therapy. In each case he listened well as I explained my symptoms, asked questions, and did a physical assessment of my limitations.
Stuart demonstrated the knowledge base, education and experience to treat my physical problems in a targeted way. I have always felt comfortable and safe with the different techniques and treatments Stuart used during the appointments. His instructions for the recommended exercises I was to do at home were simple and direct. Most importantly, after a realistic time and following his recommended work on my issues outside the appointments, I completely recovered from the pain and mobility limitations that had driven me to seek his help. I am most grateful to have this exceptional PT on my caregiver roster!”

“Less than three weeks before an eagerly anticipated tour of Sicily and leisure time in Rome, I woke one morning with lower back pain so severe I could not stand upright or walk more than a few steps without stopping for relief. Canceling the trip became a very real possibility, but my wife was confident that our yoga instructor, who is also a licensed physical therapist, Stuart Stark, was my best hope for recovery. Working with my primary care physician, Stuart was able to accurately identify the probable cause of my pain and prescribe a routine of exercises, which he closely monitored for results. A week before departure, I was able to participate fully in my weekly yoga class and walk four miles a day – without pain. The trip was a complete success and a truly memorable experience! Thank you, Stuart.”

“Physical therapist Stuart Stark is first of all a good listener, efficient and thorough with diagnosis. His treatment planning and coaching through recovery are provided with kindness, patience, and a just right dose of humor.
Over the years Stuart has educated and guided me to continued healthy function in my daily activities. I recommend Stuart for excellent physical therapy care.”

“Stuart is one of the most compassionate, patient-centered and effective physical therapists I’ve worked with. He stresses proper alignment and, as a yoga teacher for 13 years, he can incorporate yoga into exercise forms that help his patients achieve it. I am a case in point. Stuart developed and guided me through an exercise program that let me avoid neck surgery which my internist said was most likely inescapable.
Stuart showed me how to do a handful of simple yoga stretches and poses every day to help strengthen my upper and mid-back, realign my neck and correct a lifetime of poor posture. He modified the poses so that I could do them within my limitations. Within ten weeks, the exercises brought my cervical vertebra into better alignment. As a result, the numbness, tingling and pain in the shoulder, arm and hand that I’d been experiencing off and on for years subsided, and I regained full use of my left arm. By continuing to do the exercises Stuart prescribed, I now enjoy an active lifestyle with minimal limitations.”

“Stuart has been a wonderful help to me in recovering from back surgery as well as a shoulder injury. Not only did his treatment make me feel much better, he also took great care in explaining exactly which muscles were involved in my injury and in outlining an exercise routine that I could follow at home. He monitored my progress closely and never failed to be encouraging and optimistic that I could make a full recovery. Thanks to him, I’m back!”
